Finding your wedding dress isn't the only important detail for your wedding day. We love the amazing wedding vendors Denver has to offer and value the community we've built with them. Each month we like to introduce you to a vendor we love because, well - we think you'll love them too!

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR BUSINESS
Honeycomb & Co. is a full-service floral and gift boutique in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Denver. I started Honeycomb after I had been working so hard for other (really wonderful) Denver flower shops, and I just had an ache to see my own visions for florals come to life. I opened the business thinking I'd just be a neighborhood flower shop where people could come pick up a bouquet. Fast forward two years, and we're overflowing with weddings and events, custom floral orders, and the most wonderful customers. My little dream turned into something so much bigger than I imagined! In addition to all things floral, I curate a small gift shop that has everything from candles, body products, and cards, to home decor items like tabletop decor, pillows and throws, and funky odds and ends. My whole idea for Honeycomb is that we could be unique and eclectic and stylish, all while being affordable.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN FLORALS?
I've only ever worked in the floral industry. I wanted to buy a car when I was 16, and had no job prospects, so I signed up for a floral design class at a local flowers shop as a way to possibly get a job. I absolutely fell in love with everything floral, and I've never looked back. I've worked in a handful of wonderful shops since that first class, before I started Honeycomb. I did eventually buy a car, and I feel completely blessed that I found my calling as early as I did. I still love it to this day.
FAVORITE PART ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I LOVE being a shopgirl. I love curating the shop, and putting together a hand-tied bouquet and wrapping it in butcher paper, and helping a customer find that perfect gift. As much as I love weddings and seeing a wedding through from initial planning to final setup, there is just something about interacting with customers that I can't get enough of!
FAVORITE COLORADO WEDDING VENUE?
There are so many wonderful venues to choose from, I can't pick just one! I will say that my favorite wedding from this past year was at the Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail. It was just stunning and the Bride's vision for the space was perfect. As a Colorado native I love any wedding outside in the mountains, so I'm looking forward to some upcoming weddings at Planet Bluegrass and Spruce Mountain Ranch.
FAVORITE PLACE TO TRAVEL?
My little family travels to Aspen every fall to see the leaves changing, and I look forward to that trip every year, just to relax and soak up the calm of the mountains. If I could travel anywhere, I'd take a long vacation in Bora Bora and just sit by the ocean, sip fruity drinks, be completely disconnected from any electronics, and read a book the whole day.
IF YOU COULD GIVE YOUR BRIDES ONE PIECE OF ADICE WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I'd tell them to trust their instincts and not worry too much about what everyone around them thinks. And I'd tell them to not be afraid to infuse their personality in their decor. I love when couples include pieces of their heritage or their dating history in their wedding designs. I think those touches make a beautiful wedding even more memorable.
WHAT WEDDING TREND ARE YOU LOVING THIS SEASON?
I'm loving the return to color! I loved the fresh white and green trend last year, but I've been seeing so many couples wanting to hold onto that fresh and organic look while still playing with color. Flowers have such great texture and the color palettes are endless; my favorite designs are ones that play with different hues, no matter if it's bold or subtle!
