Are you looking for a great deal on a wedding dress? Are you planning a wedding with a tight timeline? Then a sample sale may be a great option for you! We’re going to break down what exactly a sample sale is and answer some frequently asked questions to find out if a sample sale is, literally, the right fit for you.

What is a sample dress?

A sample dress is a dress that has been used in the store to try on with other brides before placing an order for a brand new dress. These dresses have not been worn outside of the store, and most are in great condition! Sample sale dresses are sold as is and usually at a markdown price.

What sizes are the samples?

Sample sale dresses range anywhere from a size 4-20. Each designer has a different size chart, so it’s important to try on any dress that you may be interested in. Dresses can also be altered between 3-5 sizes to fit you.

Does the price of the dress include alterations or cleaning?

At Emma & Grace, sample sale dresses only include the price of the dress as is. The price does not include alterations or cleaning. We do have some great recommendations though of local businesses to clean your dress or schedule alterations. Just ask!

I love this sample dress, but I need to sleep on it before making a decision. Is that okay?

Unfortunately, there are no holds on sample dresses. If you love the dress, we encourage you to purchase before someone else does!

If I decide later that I don’t like the dress, can I return it and get my money back?

Sample sale dresses are non-refundable/returnable. You want to be sure that you love the dress before purchasing!

I haven’t made a dress appointment before. Is a sample sale a smart place to start my wedding dress search?

If you are not sure what you’re looking for when you’re searching for a wedding dress, a sample sale may be overwhelming. We suggest scheduling an appointment to see what kind of dresses you like as far as silhouette, neckline, and fit.  A stylist can be more accommodating to your needs during an appointment rather than a sample sale.
