Finding your wedding dress is easily one of the biggest tasks on your to-do list while wedding planning. With so much to remember and think about, it’s also easy to forget to ask the right questions to your stylist before, during, and after your first dress appointment.  We’ve pulled together five different tips and questions to ask your stylist before you begin your search to find “the one”.

What's my budget?

Have a dress budget? Make sure you let your stylist know what you plan on spending so that we can help you find a dress within your price range. There’s no point in looking at dresses that are way above your budget; its our job to help you pick the right ones to try on!

What should I wear to my appointment?

Having the right bra or a pair of Spanx can completely change how a dress looks on you. We have undergarments for you to use, but if you feel more comfortable bringing your own just make sure they are nude. Each of our fitting rooms is outfitted with a lifted area to help you see what the dress looks like altered. No need to bring heels; this will help you see the dress' length without having to take your heels on and off for each dress!

How long will it take to get my dress?

Timing is huge when it comes to selecting your wedding dress. It’s important to let us know when your wedding date is, because some dresses can take between 6-9 months to be delivered to the salon. If your wedding planning is on a short timeline, let us know so we can help you find a dress that we can get quickly.

Will I need alterations?

Don’t forget to ask about alterations! You want to make sure that your wedding dress fits you perfectly on the big day. We have alterations in the studio, making it super easy for you make your alterations appointments and attend your fittings!  Alterations are normally an extra cost outside of the actual price of the dress, so make sure to plan accordingly with your budget so it’s not a surprise expense later.

Should I bring pictures?

Absolutely, yes! Bring anything that can help your stylist envision how you imagine yourself on your wedding day. Try looking at dresses from different designers that we carry so you can have an idea ahead of time of what you’re liking as well.
